- Daily three meals and two snacks.
- Make time to eat a proper healthy breakfast.
- Substitute water whenever possible for carbonated sweet soft drinks or alcohol.
- Each at least 1-2 more fruits or vegetables each day.
- Snacks must be healthy and not junk food.
- Start converting over to lower-fat and lower-calorie foods.
- Portions should always be “less” than “more”.
- Stay away from deep fried or greasy fast food.
It’s
been said that Americans eat an average of 4.2 commercially prepared meals per
week. Processed foods are likely to be higher in calories, fat, and salt and
