world of digital media is undergoing major advances and, in coming years, the commercial
market outlook is dynamic. Digital media has undergone major metamorphosis and
now covers all types, shapes and forms of media supported by various
technologies, formats required to produce content. With “convergence” of all these
factors in digital media occurring both simultaneously and independently, there
is so much potential for creativity, innovation, improvisation, and invention. There
is also much buzz about "convergence" occurring in digital media
space covering sports and entertainment industry. Regardless of the product and
/ or service, bottom-line for any wholesale or retail consumer is "content
is king".

coming years, it will be important to observe new and emerging trends in the role
of social media and its increased growth. In addition, as existing media forms
convert and adopt online delivery mechanisms, end-consumers will continually drive
demand for highest value addition thereby paving the way for a very broad range
of technologies, applications, products and services. Prevailing commercial market
fundamentals, business fundamentals, and business-revenue models need to be
nimble and ready to adapt to the dynamic changes which are already on the
horizon. Sources of direct income, indirect income and advertisement revenues may
be altered to meet the increasing number of consumers going online as compared
to current forms of wholesale and retail. Besides social media driving change,
the critical role of mobile will have a direct impact on the methodology and
approach for research, design, development, production, marketing, sales and distribution
of products, services and content. This will in turn be a major force for changes to
e-commerce and related areas of B2B and B2C.
