Once the cause and nature of the underlying problems, factors, drivers, and issues are well understood and appreciated, an effective course of corrective action can be ascertained, assessed, and evaluated prior to determining next steps towards implementing solutions.
Good, sound,
humane, and just socio-economic and public policy driven by effective overarching
framework, legislation, regulation, and directives are just one aspect of the
paradigm shift which must continually be in-place.
Based on efforts made over the last fifty
years, capacity building programs are a key element which must be properly strategized,
designed, planned, and implemented in order to ensure measurable metrics with results
on a qualitative and quantitative basis.
Greater
emphasis, via public-private-partnerships (PPPs), can potentially enable capacity
building programs focusing on primary, secondary, and collegiate education as
well as technical skills training in various vocational trades. In addition, well designed micro-finance programs
can enable women, minority, and disadvantaged to undertake small business and
entrepreneurship – an important area for empowerment.
Another
key area is to focus on overcoming important health, wellness, and well-being challenges
related to lifestyle diseases directly and indirectly impacting emotional, mental,
and physical health (including substance abuse and addictions). Increased emphasis must be placed on propagating
a proper lifestyle which addresses greater focus on proper diet, nutrition,
rest, exercise, balance, and motivation.
In many cases,
effective “holistic and integrated solutions” can provide definitive intervention
to those women, minorities, and disadvantaged who are truly helpless and
require a helping hand in dealing with overcoming key challenges which impact
their daily quality of livelihood and lifestyle.
The purpose of any and all mentoring,
focusing on holistic wellness, health, sports, fitness, nutrition, yoga,
ayurveda and related is to promote healthy lifestyles and balance between
